Generic Requirements:
Be in possession of a Senior Certificate / Grade 12 / National Certificate (Vocational) recorded on the National Learner Record Database (NL-RD) on at least NQF level 4;
Applicants must display competency in the post-specific functions of the post;
Be proficient in at least two official languages, of which one must be English;
Be a citizen of the Republic of South Africa of which documentary proof must be furnished on the day of interview;
Must have no previous convictions or pending criminal / departmental or civil cases;
Must not have tattoo/s marks which will be visible when wearing any uniform of the Service;
Computer Literacy;
Interpersonal, communication and Organizational Skills;
Analytical, Self-Management and Problem Solving Skills;
Report Writing, presentation, development skills;
Relevant courses in the field of the post may be an advantage.
Additional Requirements:
Must be in position of a (4) four-year Degree in Social Work registered (accredited by SAQA on at least a NQF level 7 or higher level).
Must be registered with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) as a Social Worker and submit proof of valid registration for 2026/2027 financial year.
Must have (2) years' experience in the field of the post as a Social Worker.
Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
Must be prepared to work in a multi-disciplinary team and be able to market Social Work Services. Successful candidate must be willing to travel and attend courses when required.
Experience in facilitation/presentation; supervision/Management experience will be an advantage.
Be in possession of a valid driver's license.
Must be medically, physically, and mentally fit.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

Render comprehensive occupational social work services to the client system by means of Social Work Services' Proactively Interventions.
Render comprehensive occupational social work services to the client system by means of Restorative Interventions.
Render comprehensive occupational social work services to the client system by means of application of Social Work Community Work Model.
Comply with regard to governance, standards and Management Information.
Support the maintenance and sustenance of National Head Office Social Work Financial Wellness Desk.
