Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Structural Engineer to lead structural design, analysis, and supervision of construction projects.
The ideal candidate must be a Registered Structural Engineer with a minimum of 10 years' relevant experience.
The role requires strong technical expertise in structural systems, design standards, and on-site execution support to ensure safety, durability, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead structural design and analysis for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
Prepare structural drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports.
Review and approve structural designs and shop drawings.
Conduct site inspections to ensure structural works comply with approved designs and standards.
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and site teams.
Coordinate with architects, project managers, and MEP engineers.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Identify and resolve structural design challenges.
Review contractor methodologies and materials for structural integrity.
Participate in value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
Requirements
Registered Structural Engineer (COREN registration required).
Minimum of 10 years' post-qualification experience in structural engineering.
Strong experience in reinforced concrete and steel structural design.
Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, AutoCAD).
Strong understanding of Nigerian and international structural design codes.
Experience in site supervision and quality control.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and technical reporting skills.
