Role Overview
HRLeverage Africa is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Site Engineer on behalf of its client in the construction industry.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising on-site construction activities, ensuring quality execution of projects, and coordinating effectively with contractors and stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within scope, and in compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily construction site activities to ensure smooth project execution.
Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Monitor project progress and prepare accurate site reports for management review.
Coordinate effectively with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
Manage and optimize site resources including labour, materials, and equipment.
Conduct regular site inspections and resolve technical or structural issues as they arise.
Support project planning, scheduling, and cost control activities.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field.
2 - 5 years of relevant experience in construction project supervision.
Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction-related software is an added advantage.
