Description
The Tropicana Tourism Institution (TTI) at La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort is seeking an experienced Site Maintenance Engineer to oversee the upkeep, functionality, and operational efficiency of the resort's facilities.
This role is crucial to maintaining a safe, comfortable, and world-class environment for guests, staff, and trainees while supporting TTI's training programs in facility operations and technical skills.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for all resort facilities, including buildings, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and landscaping infrastructure.
Conduct regular inspections to identify and address operational issues, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
Supervise maintenance staff, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality work and timely completion of tasks.
Maintain maintenance records, equipment logs, and inventory of spare parts and tools.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers during renovations, upgrades, and new construction projects.
Implement energy efficiency and sustainability practices across the resort's infrastructure.
Support hands-on training for TTI participants in facility maintenance, technical troubleshooting, and safety protocols.
Requirements
8 - 10 years of experience in site/facility maintenance engineering, preferably in resort, hotel, or large-scale property operations.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
Proven experience in supervising teams, managing vendors, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
