About This Role
We are looking for a story-driven Social Media Manager to own the social presence of Workium across Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), TikTok and YouTube Shorts. You will lead content planning, scheduling, community engagement and paid-social campaigns — turning client wins, founder insights and product updates into a steady drumbeat of posts that build trust and pipeline. You will report to our Head of Marketing and partner closely with the graphics designer, content writer, founders and immigration consultants on stories worth telling.
Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end social media calendar across Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok and YouTube Shorts — plan themes, draft captions, schedule, post and engage with comments daily
Brief the graphics designer on every visual the calendar needs — give clear references, copy and tone
Run the Workium LinkedIn page as a thought-leadership channel: write founder posts, repurpose long-form content into carousels, grow follower count and inbound DMs
Plan and execute paid social campaigns end-to-end: creative briefs to designer, copy variants, A/B testing, analytics, weekly reporting
Engage authentically with our community: respond to DMs and comments within 24 hours, jump on relevant trends, build relationships with creators in the migration / careers / startup space
Translate client wins (visa approvals, placements, company formations) into anonymised social-ready stories with the consent of the client
Track and report weekly KPIs: reach, engagement, follower growth, CTR on link-in-bio, conversion of social to qualified leads
Identify content gaps and pitch new formats — series, recurring columns, live AMAs, webinars and Twitter Spaces — and run them on the day
Requirements
2+ years of professional experience as a social media manager, ideally in a SaaS, edtech, fintech, recruitment or migration brand
Native-level written English with a strong copy voice — you can write a LinkedIn post hook that stops people scrolling
Hands-on experience with at least three social-media management platforms (Buffer, Later, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Metricool, Notion calendars)
Working knowledge of Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager and TikTok Ads Manager — you have launched and reported on at least one paid campaign
Comfortable with analytics: pulling numbers from native dashboards, GA4, Bitly and putting together a one-page weekly report without supervision
Light hands-on creative skills — you can edit a CapCut / Reels caption pass without waiting on a designer for every minor tweak
Self-driven — you can be given a one-line brief and ship a polished post within 24 hours; you don't wait for perfect requirements before starting
Reliable computer, stable broadband, distraction-free workspace, comfort working asynchronously across UK / EU / Africa time zones

Performance expectations are clearly defined:
On-time delivery of weekly content calendar (≥95% on-schedule posting rate)
Monthly follower growth across Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok
Engagement rate vs. industry benchmark (target ≥4.5% on Instagram, ≥3% on LinkedIn)
Inbound qualified leads attributed to social channels
CAC ratio for paid-social campaigns ≤ company target
DM / comment response time (target ≤24 hours)
