Solar PV Installation & Maintenance Teacher

Develop lesson plans, schemes of work and instructional materials in line with the approved curriculum. Teach the principles of solar energy, photovoltaic technology and renewable energy systems. Explain the operation and application of solar panels, charge controllers, inverters, batteries and associated electrical components. Deliver lessons on solar PV system design, sizing, installation, configuration and commissioning. Teach basic electrical principles, including voltage, current, resistance, power, energy and electrical circuit connections. Demonstrate series and parallel connections of solar panels and batteries, explaining their applications and limitations. Train students in estimating energy consumption, calculating system capacity and selecting appropriate components. Teach preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, troubleshooting and replacement of faulty system components.
