Requirements


Trade Test for Artisans
3 - 5 years post apprenticeship relevant experience required
Code B/EB Driver's License
Specialist knowledge of PABX/PAX telephone systems or cable jointing/fibre splicing or hi-site/microwave infrastructure.
A working knowledge of OHS regulations.
Ability to operate sophisticated test equipment.
High degree of accuracy w.r.t. operation of splicing and jointing equipment
Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office


Key Performance Areas


Interprets and coordinates specific pre-work/site requirements with regards to installation, repairs and planned and predictive maintenance sequences and guides the activities of personnel.
Completes internal transactional documentation (e.g. time sheets, log sheet, progress and productivity field report, etc.) and related forms (vehicle checklist).
Performs specific tasks associated with the operation of specialized vehicles and equipment (compressor, trucks, etc.) during electrical installation, repair and maintenance activities.
Coordinates activities associated with the construction and installation of communication networks.
Coordinates activities and sequences associated with routine maintenance of communication infrastructure PAX and PABX cable networks, communications consoles and intercom cable systems
