Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Steel Fixer (Iron Bender) to cut, bend, and fix steel reinforcement bars (rebars) for construction projects.
The ideal candidate must be experienced in interpreting structural drawings, assembling reinforcement, and ensuring work is completed in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Cut, bend, and install steel reinforcement bars according to approved drawings.
Read and interpret construction and reinforcement drawings.
Assemble and secure reinforcement for concrete structures.
Measure, cut, and tie rebars accurately.
Ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations on site.
Work closely with supervisors and other construction personnel to meet project deadlines.
Requirements
Minimum of SSCE, Trade Test, or relevant vocational qualification.
3 - 5 years of proven experience as a Steel Fixer (Iron Bender) in the construction industry.
Ability to read and interpret reinforcement drawings.
Good knowledge of steel fixing techniques and construction safety practices.
Physically fit and able to work in a demanding construction environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
