Purpose
The Store Officer will be responsible for overseeing store operations to ensure effective inventory management, accurate stock records, and the continuous availability of materials and spare parts required to support uninterrupted milling operations.
The role also ensures compliance with safety, quality, and inventory control standards while maintaining efficient store processes.
The JobÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂ
Manage the receipt, inspection, verification, and documentation of incoming materials and supplies.
Ensure all stock items are properly stored, secured, and easily identifiable.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper accountability for all stock movements.
Conduct periodic stock counts and reconciliations, investigating and reporting variances where necessary.
Prepare and submit inventory and stock control reports to management.
Monitor stock levels and initiate timely replenishment to prevent stock-outs.
Track purchase orders and provide regular reports on overdue orders.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of store personnel to ensure operational efficiency.
Enforce health, safety, quality management, and food safety requirements within the store environment.
Qualifications
BSc/HND in Supply chain, Logistics, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting or related discipline.
Membership of the Institute of Stores Management, Purchasing and Supply, or a related professional body.
Experience:ÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂ
Minimum of three (3) years' relevant experience in storekeeping, inventory management, or warehouse operations.
Experience within a manufacturing environment.
