Job Function
The role involves functional responsibility under the Customer Service Manager, encompassing the execution of daily warehouse activities.
These activities include receipt and management of storage, issuance of goods, and other inventory management functions.
Additionally, the role involves the handling of Material Handling Equipment (MHEs) such as Hand pallet jacks and forklifts (certified forklift operators only)
Key Performance Areas
Warehouse Management:
Movement of commodities, products, or items within the warehouse premise as instructed using the hand pallet jacks or forklifts (certified operators only) as applicable.
Ensure correct and proper sorting of commodities or items delivered to the MDS Pharma warehouse before it is put-away into allocated bins by the WMS.
Removal, stacking, and arrangement of empty pallets out of the warehouse or outside the warehouse.
Fill out a pick slip order and sign off.
Ensure good warehouse practice rules are employed during the picking and staging of stock before dispatch.
Ensure strict adherence to instructions from Customer Service Officers or management in line with the SOP.
Ensure good documentation practices during operations.
Ensure accuracy and competency during activities.
Ensure a thorough display of initiative and contribute ideas to the operations of the warehouse.
Ensure a display of team spirit, flexibility, and adaptability when working under pressure.
Ensure adequate knowledge or understanding of the ongoing operation.
General housekeeping of the warehouse after each inbound or outbound process after each labelling and coding operation
Ensuring effective Communication
Carrying out any other duty that may be assigned from time to time by the CSM for the smooth running of the operation.
Stock reporting:
Assist with the physical inventory counts (full stock counts and cycle counts) on a regular basis and be involved in the resolution of variances with the Inventory team.
Escalate to CSM all observed discrepancies within 24 hours.
Provide accurate records of physical stocks in warehouse whenever required.
GWP:
Ensure to carry out all warehousing process in line with client's SOPs/SLAs
Maintain Good Warehousing Practices (GWP).
Ensures warehouse and stock safety, proper storage conditions, temperatures, practices, methods are maintained.
Assets:
Support the safety, security, and cleanliness of the warehouse.
Ensure the protection of the company's assets against careless handling and fraudulent practices.
HSE:
Shall promote a culture of safety and align with MDS HSEQ policy and guidelines.
Participation in TQS and HSE meetings and carrying our agreed action points.
Qualifications Required
SSCE or O' Level
Experience and Skills Required:
Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in warehousing operations
WMS experience
Process or workflow in receiving and dispatch.
Batch management
Customer service experience
MHE handling (For forklifts - Certified Forklift Operators ONLY)
Technical experience (Certified Forklift Operators ONLY).
