Job Summary
The Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for the analysis, design, and documentation of structural systems across the company's projects. The role requires delivering safe, efficient, and code-compliant designs while aligning with company quality management systems (QMS), project timelines, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop structural design solutions for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
Prepare detailed structural calculations, drawings, and reports in line with company standards.
Use approved engineering software (AutoCAD, ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD Pro) for analysis and design.
Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes (BS, Eurocodes, ACI) and internal QMS procedures.
Review and validate design outputs before submission for internal and client approval.
Collaborate with Architecture, MEP, and Business Development teams to support project delivery.
Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and client presentations where required.
Conduct periodic site inspections to ensure alignment between design intent and execution.
Identify design risks early and propose cost-effective and practical solutions.
Support value engineering initiatives to optimize material usage and project cost.
Maintain proper documentation in line with ISO/QMS requirements (design logs, revision tracking, approvals).
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master's is an advantage).
Minimum of 5 years' experience in structural design within a consulting firm.
COREN registration is a MUST.
Strong working knowledge of structural design standards (Eurocodes, BS, ACI).
Proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, and AutoCAD.
Experience working within structured quality systems (ISO 9001 or similar) is an advantage.
