The Appointee should:


Possess NQF 7 Bachelor's Degree/Advanced Diploma in Human Resource management or related field
Be medically fit to work in the specific business area.
Have clear security screening record.
Have clear credit record.
Have a valid driver's license (if applicable).
Have at least five years HR Management experience, of which three years in a HR generalist Position and at least one year in the mining environment.


Key Responsibilities:


Service Delivery Ensure that shaft HR Teams provide an effective labour management service to line Ensure consistent implementation of the labour management value chain initiatives Ensuring the correct Human Resources standards and processes are in place, practiced and maintained Develop realistic but challenging HR benchmarks and efficiencies for area of responsibility Improve systems support to HR (Symplexity, Essbase, etc.) Ensure accurate labour reporting within your area of responsibility as an important management tool
Operational and Development Coaching and training of HR Team under your control to deliver an effective HR services Conduct own investigations within area of your responsibility to monitor the compliance to HR standards Continuous support to Operational HR teams to ensure high quality delivery of HR services Coordinate the delivery of an effective and efficient recruitment service through regular engagement with HRTC teams Contributes to the planning, monitoring and delivery of the Effective Performance Management process Maintain processes and schedules of employees to renew/ complete statutory/ regulatory requirements such as; certificates of fitness, refresher training, HTS, first aid certificates, leaves, etc.
Culture Provides support and influence compliance with company initiatives towards the achievement of EE and Mining Charter targets that relates to HDP and WiM representation at various levels within your area of responsibility Ensuring that a harmonious working environment exists by maintaining sound Employee Relations practices and relationships with organized labour Key source and driver of labour portion during annual business planning processes, within area of responsibility Ensures Operation comply with all obligations under relevant employee consultation processes Driver and catalyst at the operation, of company initiatives that relates to safety and cultural transformation processes
Stakeholder Relations Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and externally at all levels and cross-functionally. Ensuring open communication channels with all relevant stakeholders. Sourcing, contracting and negotiating with service providers. Liaising with the necessary entities on any environmental management related requirements and alignment where applicable. Collaborating with external service providers regarding the design and implementation of tools to enhance processes.
People Management Provide coaching and on-the-job training to reporting staff. Manage performance and development of reporting staff. Ensure fair work allocation for team members. Inspire team members towards high performance.
