The Appointee should:
Be in a possession of NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate for Adults
Be in a possession of Grade A registration with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) or the ability to obtain one within 3 months
Be in possession of a valid firearm competency certificate issued by the SAPS as per the new Firearm Control Act, Act 60 of 2000
Have at least 5 years' experience in a Security related role and 3 years in an officer capacity
Be Medically fit to work in the specific business area
Have a clear Security screening record with the ability to drive
Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health Centre
Advantageous Qualifications:
Be in a possession of NQF 6 (Diploma or Advanced Certificate) in Security Risk Management or Security Management or Law Enforcement related qualification will be advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct ad hoc inspections of resources and utilization
Presents information to management in the form of reports and provides advice based on specialist knowledge by compiling reports based information received, scrutinizing submitted reports from the Operations and providing feedback
Oversee collection and safeguarding of evidence and exhibits
Participate in planning meetings; share insights based on experience
Apply fair disciplinary and grievance procedures; maintain healthy industrial relations
Ensure proactive action on reported cases to prevent recurrence and losses
Implement Security Rules for the Security Personnel to ensure all security functions are understood and executed effectively
Conduct monthly security vulnerability assessments and daily inspections; propose enhancements
Stay informed on latest security technologies; monitor systems and recommend improvements
