Job Summary
We are hiring a Talent Management Lead to drive its talent agenda across recruitment, performance management, learning & development, employee engagement, and succession planning.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in talent management within structured environments and a proven ability to build high-performing teams and people systems.
Responsible for driving talent acquisition, performance management, learning & development, employee engagement, retention, and succession planning. Ensures strong talent pipelines and capability development aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning:
Manage end-to-end recruitment across business functions
Partner with managers on workforce planning needs
Build talent pipelines for key roles
Support employer branding initiatives
Performance Management:
Drive performance management cycle and PMS execution
Coordinate goal setting, reviews, and performance tracking
Support employee recognition and reward processes
Analyze performance trends and recommend improvements
Learning & Development:
Conduct training needs assessments
Coordinate learning and leadership development programs
Track training effectiveness and employee growth
Promote continuous learning culture
Employee Engagement & Retention:
Implement employee engagement initiatives
Support engagement surveys and analysis
Recommend retention strategies for key talent
Support employee relations activities where needed
Talent Management & Succession Planning:
Support succession planning and leadership pipeline development
Identify high-potential employees
Drive employee experience improvement initiatives
Monitor talent metrics and insights
HR Governance & Reporting:
Ensure HR policy and labour law compliance
Maintain HR records and talent dashboards
Prepare talent reports for leadership
Support HR process improvement initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field
Professional certification (CIPM, CIPD, SHRM, HRCI, etc.)
6 - 8 years HR experience (minimum 3 years in Talent Management / L&D / TA)
Strong PMS and employee development experience
FMCG or structured environment experience preferred
Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
