Key Purpose Statement
To ensure the safe guarding of company assets & inventory whilst minimizing risk, fraud & losses through ensuring compliance to stock management and control processes & procedures.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Stock Management and Reconciliation
Oversee stock alignment, ensuring stock on floor and stock on hand are consistently matched.
Investigate and resolve stock variances and manage daily reconciliation of all inbound and outbound processes, including Chep pallet management.
Ensure compliance with stock processes, manage stock age, and handle associated write-offs and salvaging.
Lead and support the stock team by providing continuous training, coaching, and performance management.
Allocate resources effectively to meet operational requirements and manage work hours and days of the week.
Conduct regular team meetings, resolve issues proactively, and communicate clear KPI expectations and achievements.
Financial Management of Warehouse Costs
Manage and reduce unaccountable and accountable waste, and control Chep pallet-associated costs.
Use information systems to track and achieve key performance indicators, ensuring accurate and timely system transactions.
Oversee cost management by ensuring proper care of stock and assets, optimizing resource allocation.
Compliance and Governance
Drive adherence to daily controls and report non-compliance to IFC/governance controls for corrective action.
Communicate the impact of non-adherence and identify parties not complying with stock processes.
Monitor and manage Proof of Delivery processes, ensuring performance measures are met and compliance is maintained.
Skills, Experience & Education
Education
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, Warehouse Management or related field.
Additional Professional certification will be an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in inventory management, warehousing, logistics, or stock control within a FMCG, Manufacturing, or Distribution environment.
At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, stock reconciliation, cycle counting, and warehouse operations.
Experience working with ERP systems.
