Role Description
Business Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territories or market segments.
Generate qualified leads through prospecting, networking, referrals, and market research.
Conduct client visits and sales presentations to prospective customers.
Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
Sales Execution
Promote the company's products and services to prospective and existing customers.
Prepare quotations and proposals in line with company pricing guidelines.
Negotiate within approved parameters and close sales opportunities.
Achieve assigned sales targets and KPIs.
Customer Relationship Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers.
Respond promptly to customer inquiries and requests.
Provide after-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction.
Address customer concerns and escalate issues where necessary.
Market Intelligence
Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
Identify new customer needs and emerging market opportunities.
Provide regular market feedback to management.
Sales Administration
Maintain accurate customer records within the CRM system.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
Ensure all customer documentation is complete and properly filed.
Track quotations, orders, and customer follow-ups.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Operations to ensure timely service delivery.
Coordinate with Finance regarding customer payments where necessary.
Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns and promotional activities.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
1 - 3 years of experience in sales, business development, customer service, or account management.
Experience in logistics, courier, freight forwarding, e-commerce, or supply chain is an added advantage.
Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages in Nigeria is an added advantage.
