This position works out of our Roodepoort Offices, Abbott Place in the Established Pharmaceutical Division where we are committed to bringing the benefits of our trusted medicines to more people in the world's fastest-growing countries.
Our broad portfolio of high-quality and differentiated branded generic medicines reaches across multiple therapeutic areas including gastroenterology, women's health, cardiometabolic, pain management/central nervous system, and respiratory.


What You'll Do:


Design appropriate strategy to achieve sales goals and targets in assigned territory;
Achievement of sales, market share and growth objectives in the region;
Maintain satisfactory customer call rate, strike rate and territory coverage;
Compile and update sales operating plan for region;
 Identify new business opportunities;
Attend cycle meetings and conferences;
Negotiate additional display areas and space, in line with marketing objectives, to accentuate the brand building activities.
Build and maintain business relationships in-store / in practice with all personnel who have an impact upon the company's business.
Accurately take stock in-store utilizing customer stock cards [use as a tool in negotiating the order].
Build impactful and appealing dis-plays to assist the pharmacy to "move-through" stock.
Assist with merchandising: Ensure stock is well presented, Packed and available to the consumer [FIFO principle].
Detail and train staff in-store [inclusive of All Healthcare Professionals].


Required Qualifications


Tertiary qualification in Human Sciences/Marketing/Business Management preferred.


Preference experience:


3 years of pharmacy sales experience is mandatory.
Experience and established pharmacy relationships essential.
Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
Strong sales track record, sound organizational skills and time management skill
History of superior territory coverage in the Johannesburg area will be an advantage.

Ability to develop long-term business relationships.
