Role Summary:


PwC is seeking an experienced manager to join its Transfer Pricing (TP) team, which forms a specialist team within the firm's larger national Corporate and International Tax practice.
The role will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients manage their tax affairs efficiently, in particular with respect to strategic interactions with SARS.


Qualifications /Certifications required:


Relevant professional qualification (Admitted attorney and/or Postgraduate studies in Tax) A post-graduate tax qualification would be ideal


Experience required:


5+ years' dedicated experience in Transfer Pricing.​


Responsibilities of role:


Act as a relationship manager of a portfolio of clients against individual and team Net Revenue targets;
Act as the first point of call for clients and ensure timely delivery to the highest technical standard;
Provide on-the-job coaching and mentoring to junior team members;
Perform technical reviews of draft deliverables prepared by junior team members;
Report into a Partner / Director ultimately signing off client deliverables;
Support the sales strategy of leadership;
Manage project economics pro-actively;
Ensure team adherence to internal risk management policies;
Keep abreast with the ever-changing tax landscape through relevant technical training;
Develop deep knowledge of bespoke PwC developed digital tools, applications and business processes.​

Industry experience required:
Prior experience in managing and/or advising multinational entities on their related party and transfer pricing matters, including:
Transfer pricing methodologies, OECD guidelines, and SARS Transfer Pricing documentation requirements;
Transfer pricing policies & documentation planning;
Intercompany pricing arrangements between related business entities e.g. relating to the transfer of intellectual property, transfer of tangible goods, services and loans, and other financing transactions;
Benchmarking studies;
Tax dispute resolution processes, including dealings with SARS, Mutual Agreement Procedures and/or Advance Pricing Agreements;
Substantive corporate income tax law, corporate structures, business value drivers and global developments in the field of transfer pricing and international tax; and
Exchange control requirements and "fair and market related" reporting. Prior employment within a corporate advisory environment (e.g. Big-4 auditing firm and/or reputable law firm) is preferred.
