Job Summary
The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of medical products to hospitals and healthcare facilities.
This role requires strong driving skills, adherence to safety standards, and basic tech proficiency to support real-time logistics tracking and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate company trucks to deliver medical products (blood, oxygen, and other supplies) to assigned locations
Ensure timely and accurate completion of all deliveries
Conduct routine vehicle checks before and after trips (fuel, tyres, brakes, oil, etc.)
Properly handle and secure all medical goods during loading and unloading
Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain proof of delivery where required
Use mobile applications for dispatch updates, route tracking, and delivery confirmation
Adhere strictly to road safety regulations and company driving policies
Report vehicle faults, accidents, or delays immediately to the Logistics Supervisor
Ensure proper care, cleanliness, and maintenance of assigned vehicle
Maintain professionalism when interacting with healthcare partners and facility staff
Requirements
Minimum of SSCE or equivalent
Valid and current driver's license (compulsory)
Minimum of 2 - 3 years proven experience as a truck driver
Must be tech-savvy and comfortable using mobile applications for work-related tasks
Must own and be proficient in using an Android smartphone
Good knowledge of road networks and traffic regulations
Ability to drive long distances safely and efficiently
Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
Good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in logistics, healthcare delivery, or cold-chain transportation
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance
Familiarity with GPS tracking and dispatch systems
