Key performance areas
Operations
Monitor water and energy usage across facilities using available systems, meters and reports
Analyse consumption data to identify abnormal trends, inefficiencies, leaks or potential system failures
Compare usage across sites, historical periods and benchmarks to highlight variances
Prepare clear summaries and recommendations for corrective or investigative action
Support sustainability, cost-saving and efficiency initiatives related to utilities
Reporting
Generate and distribute regular utilities reports covering:
Water and energy consumption
Variances and anomalies
Actions taken and outcomes
Maintain accurate records related to utilities, investigations and remedial works
Contractor & Service Provider Coordination
Identify when specialist investigation or remedial work is required
Appoint, brief and coordinate approved contractors or consultants where necessary
Obtain quotations, scope work and facilitate approvals in line with procurement procedures
Monitor contractor performance, timelines and quality of work
Ensure all works are properly documented and closed out
Qualifications, experience and skills
Matric
Qualification in the built environment is advantageous
A minimum of 2 years' experience in Facilities/Utilities/Operations Management
Experience monitoring and analysing water and energy consumption across multiple sites
Experience coordinating contractors, service providers or consultants
Exposure to utilities reporting systems, meters, dashboards or BMS platforms
