Job Summary
The Utilities Engineer will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and optimization of utility systems within an FMCG manufacturing environment, ensuring uninterrupted supply of power, steam, air, water, and other utilities to support production.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain utility systems including boilers, air compressors, chillers, cooling towers, generators, and power distribution systems.
Ensure continuous supply of utilities (steam, air, water, electricity) to production lines.
Execute preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime.
Monitor utility performance, energy consumption, and efficiency metrics.
Maintain water treatment and wastewater treatment plants (WTP/WWTP).
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Coordinate contractors and supervise utility technicians.
Maintain maintenance records, logs, and spare parts inventory.
Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
Requirements
BSc / HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
3 - 5 years' experience as a Utilities Engineer in an FMCG manufacturing company (mandatory).
Strong knowledge of boilers, compressors, chillers, power distribution, and treatment plants.
Hands-on experience with preventive and corrective maintenance systems.
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and teamwork skills.
