Objectives of the Assignment
The objective of this consultancy is to produce high-quality video content that effectively communicates Kuja's mission and amplifies the stories of local organisations using the Kuja platform. Specifically, the consultant will:
Film and edit engaging video content aligned with Kuja's brand and communication goals.
Capture impactful footage for interviews, events, and promotional materials.
Transform recorded sessions into shareable clips and reels optimized for digital platforms.
Ensure all videos reflect Kuja's identity and storytelling approach.
Manage post-production processes, including sound design, color correction, captioning, and motion graphics.
Maintain organized project files and assets for future use.
Collaborate closely with the Communications and Marketing Manager to incorporate feedback and deliver agreed outputs.
Scope of Work
Film and edit engaging video content as per provided scripts and storyboards.
Capture high-quality footage for interviews, events, and promotional content.
Transform recorded sessions and interviews into shareable, platform-specific clips and reels.
Ensure all videos align with Kuja's brand identity and communication goals.
Manage all aspects of post-production, including sound design, color correction, captioning, and motion graphics as needed.
Maintain organised project files, raw footage, and edited assets for future use.
Collaborate closely with the Communications and Marketing Manager to review progress and incorporate feedback.
Deliverables
A minimum of 2 completed video projects per month (as agreed upon).
Edited clips, reels, and other multimedia assets optimised for digital platforms.
Video templates and assets for future use by the Kuja team.
A short report summarising completed deliverables and recommendations per reporting period.
Consultancy Period
The consultancy is expected to run for 5 months, starting from 1st Dec 2025 to 31st May, with deliverables submitted on a rolling basis as agreed upon with the Communications and Marketing Manager.
Payment
The consultant is expected to work approximately 10 hours per week, with a maximum of 40 hours per month. The consultancy will be compensated at a rate of $20 per hour.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience in videography and video editing,preferably within the social impact or development sector.
Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar.
Strong understanding of lighting, sound, and camera techniques.
Experience with animation, motion graphics, or AI-assisted tools (Descript, Pika, etc.) is an advantage.
Excellent visual storytelling skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality outputs remotely.
Familiarity with localisation, decolonisation, and shifting power in development is desirable.
