Responsibilities


Perform precise welding and fabrication using approved techniques to assemble and repair metal structures and components.
Ensure all welds consistently meet high industry standards, company specifications, and required safety codes.
Inspect finished work through visual checks and measurement analysis, and correct any weld defects to maintain structural soundness and quality control.
Read, understand, and accurately interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and technical welding symbols.
Set up, operate, and maintain welding machines and related equipment, ensuring immediate reporting of any faulty equipment or workplace hazards.
Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Maintain a meticulously clean and safe work environment at all times to proactively prevent accidents and injuries.
Coordinate effectively with supervisors, fabricators, and other team members to ensure efficient and timely task completion.
Accurately record job details, time spent on tasks, and materials utilize as per procedural requirements.
Assist in the mentorship and training of new welders or apprentices, contributing to the development of the team.


Requirements


Certificate or diploma in Welding, Fabrication, or related field.
Proven welding experience (MIG/TIG/Stick) preferred.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and welding symbols.
Knowledge of different metals and welding techniques.
Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Ability to work in confined spaces, heights, and varying environmental conditions.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Problem-solving ability and initiative.
Ability to lift heavy materials and operate machinery.
Ability to stand for long periods and work in physically demanding conditions.
