We are seeking a Workshop Foreman to lead our team of technicians and mechanics in our workshop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive or mechanical engineering and extensive experience in managing a workshop.
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of technicians and mechanics to ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
Plan and schedule work orders to meet deadlines and customer expectations
Monitor and maintain inventory of tools and supplies
Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of workshop equipment
Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to ensure quality and safety standards are met
Train and mentor technicians to improve their skills and performance
Communicate with customers to provide updates on work in progress and address any concerns
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a workshop foreman or similar supervisory role
Strong knowledge of automotive or mechanical engineering
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks
Proficient in computer systems and software related to workshop management
