Key Responsibilities
Develop lesson plans and curricula that align with the Yoruba language syllabus and national curriculum
Teach Yoruba language, literature, and culture effectively across different grade levels
Prepare students for assessments, examinations, and oral presentations
Organise cultural events, guest speakers, and field trips to enrich student learning
Incorporate current events and relevant themes into lessons to make them engaging and relatable
Maintain accurate student records and communicate performance updates to parents and counsellors
Stay updated on modern teaching techniques and integrate technology into classroom instruction
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Yoruba Language, Linguistics, Education, or related fields
TRCN certification is an added advantage
Solid knowledge of Yoruba language, literature, and culture
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
Proficiency in the use of technology and computer applications for teaching
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patient, resilient, and passionate about student development
Up-to-date with 21st-century teaching methods.
