JOB SUMMARY
The Enforcement / Security Officer will protect the water company's assets, infrastructure, staff, and customers by preventing illegal connections, vandalism, meter tampering, and water theft.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Conduct patrols and inspections of water infrastructure such as pipelines, reservoirs, treatment plants, pump stations, and meter installations.
Identify, investigate, and report illegal connections, meter tampering, vandalism, and water theft.
Enforce company regulations, by-laws, and service agreements in a professional and lawful manner.
Support disconnections and reconnections in line with company policy and legal requirements.
Provide security at water facilities, offices, and project sites as required.
Record incidents, collect basic evidence, and prepare reports for management and legal or disciplinary action.
Work closely with customer service, technical teams, and local authorities when handling enforcement cases.
Sensitize customers and communities on compliance with water regulations and protection of water infrastructure.
Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and complaints related to unauthorized access or damage to assets.
Ensure personal conduct complies with company ethics, safety standards, and human rights principles.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Certificate or Diploma in Security Management, Criminology, Law Enforcement, Public Administration, or a related field.
Previous experience in security, enforcement, utilities, or community compliance roles is an added advantage.
Training in basic investigation, evidence handling, or conflict management is an added advantage.
No criminal record and good standing with relevant authorities (where applicable).
