Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily branch operations, ensuring smooth opening and closing procedures
Manage and support branch staff, including scheduling, task allocation, and on-the-job training
Ensure high levels of customer service and resolve customer queries or complaints professionally
Oversee sales performance and assist in achieving branch targets
Maintain stock control, including ordering, receiving, stock counts, and merchandising
Ensure correct handling, mixing, and display of paint products where applicable
Monitor housekeeping, health and safety, and compliance with company procedures
Assist with basic administrative duties, reporting, and cash handling
Support the Branch Manager or Owner with operational and performance-related tasks
Minimum Requirements:
Previous experience in a hardware, paint, or building materials retail environment
Supervisory or team-lead experience preferred
Good knowledge of hardware tools, paint products, and related materials
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to lead by example and work hands-on when required
Basic computer literacy (POS systems, stock systems, and email)
Reliable, well-organised, and able to work under pressure
