Job Summary
The Cabinet and Kitchen Factory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily factory operations involved in the production of cabinets and fitted kitchens.
The role ensures that manufacturing processes run efficiently, quality standards are met, deadlines are achieved, and health and safety regulations are strictly followed.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate day-to-day production activities within the cabinet and kitchen factory.
Manage carpenters, machine operators, assemblers, and support staff to ensure smooth workflow.
Ensure all cabinets and kitchen units are produced according to technical drawings, specifications, and company standards.
Monitor production schedules and ensure orders are completed on time and within budget.
Conduct quality checks at each stage of production and address any defects or reworks promptly.
Oversee the use, maintenance, and safe operation of machinery and tools.
Manage materials, stock levels, and waste reduction within the factory.
Enforce health and safety policies and maintain a clean, organised working environment.
Liaise with management, designers, and installation teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Train, guide, and motivate factory staff to improve performance and productivity.
Prepare basic production reports and provide updates to management.
Skills and Requirements
Proven experience in cabinet making, kitchen manufacturing, or furniture production.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills within a factory or workshop environment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production plans.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and the ability to manage teams effectively.
Knowledge of health and safety standards within a manufacturing environment.
Desirable:
Experience supervising a cabinet or kitchen factory.
Qualification or apprenticeship in Carpentry, Joinery, or Furniture Manufacturing.
Knowledge of CNC machines, panel saws, and edging machines.
