About Opportunity
A growing Kenyan agribusiness and technical services firm is seeking an experienced Commercial and Delivery Lead to drive the scaling of an innovative digital agribusiness platform.
This role combines business development, revenue optimization, platform growth, and delivery excellence to accelerate platform adoption, generate sustainable revenue streams, and strengthen institutional partnerships across the agricultural sector.
The role forms part of the management team and is responsible for leading platform growth, commercial performance, partner engagement, and delivery excellence across multiple counties.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute business development and revenue strategies to scale the digital platform, including transaction-based models, sustainability levies, tiered incentives, and dynamic commission structures.
Lead end-to-end platform delivery, including user onboarding, training, partnership development, agent network management, and physical hub operations.
Directly supervise County Business Managers and associated county delivery teams, providing leadership, performance management, coaching, and support to achieve revenue, adoption, and operational targets.
Serve as a member of the senior management team, providing strategic leadership to support platform growth, sustainability, and organizational objectives.
Drive financial sustainability and platform growth through data-driven insights, partnership development, and continuous improvement.
Manage relationships with key cooperative, development, government, and private-sector stakeholders.
Prepare high-quality work plans, budgets, progress reports, and risk mitigation strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
Master's degree in business administration, Project Management, Information Technology, Digital Economy, Economics, Agribusiness, or a related field.
Professional certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum, or equivalent).
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the digital economy, fintech, SaaS platforms, digital marketplaces, or revenue operations.
At least 3 years in business development, revenue management, platform operations, or delivery leadership roles, including team and regional oversight.
Demonstrated track record in scaling transaction-based digital platforms, driving user adoption, and achieving commercial growth targets.
Experience in agribusiness, agricultural value chains, digital agriculture, rural markets, or inclusive finance will be an added advantage.
