Minimum Qualifications / Experience
Minimum Grade 12
Qualified Diesel Mechanic/ Earthmoving equipment Mechanic (Red Seal/Trade Test)
Valid Driver's License
5 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic
Must have knowledge on Yellow Machines
Must have knowledge of On Key system
Pre-employment medical required
Computer Literate
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):
Always maintain professional workmanship standards
Strictly adhere to applicable Quality Assurance Processes & Procedures
Have knowledge of engines, hydraulics pneumatics, undercarriage and auto electrical.
Repair loaders, dumpers, excavators', trucks & LDV's within specification and agreed repair times
Ensure complete, accurate and timeous job card feedback and repair reports
Conduct troubleshooting, Fault Diagnosis and do RCA on failures
Perform machine inspections on vehicles and compile backlog lists
Coordinate assistants to carried out first line of maintenance tasks
Pro-actively support & participate in safety & work practice related initiatives
Use of Personal Protective Equipment in accordance with the applicable policy & prescriptions
Keeping own working area clean, tidy & presentable always
Managing & maintaining tooling in good, serviceable condition
