Position Summary
The Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Manager will oversee the administration and strategic direction of the EMS department, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and performance management.
Oversee emergency vehicles, medical supplies, and equipment compliance.
Liaise with the Training and Ambulance Service Committee on business and performance matters.
Manage ambulance service agreements and contracts.
Develop and monitor departmental budgets and identify funding opportunities.
Supervise EMT students during clinicals in collaboration with the course coordinator.
Investigate contract performance issues in coordination with HR.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Engage with stakeholders to resolve operational issues and improve service delivery.
Advise the CEO on EMS-related matters and recommend policy improvements.
Represent the department in public forums and prepare reports and proposals.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Nursing, Emergency Medical Care, Public Health, Health Management, or related field.
BSc in Nursing (KRN); Higher Diploma in Nursing is an added advantage.
Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience, with at least 5 in senior management.
Strong experience in Accident & Emergency or ICU settings.
Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Knowledge of emergency medical services and evacuation procedures.
