Position Summary
The Finance Manager will lead financial planning, compliance, and reporting to ensure the sustainability of St. John Kenya's mission-driven programs. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement long-term financial strategies.
Lead budgeting and expenditure monitoring across departments.
Prepare timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Manage credit control, receivables, and client relationships.
Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and financial reporting standards.
Strengthen internal controls and coordinate audits.
Champion financial systems integration and data security.
Mentor finance staff and promote a culture of accountability.
Support donor compliance and proposal development.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Finance, Commerce, Public Administration, or related field.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.
CPA-K / CIFA / ACCA certification.
Leadership training from a recognized institution.
Minimum of 10 years' experience, with 5 in senior management.
Experience managing donor funds and reporting.
Strong analytical, planning, and crisis management skills.
