Farm Services Manager

The ideal candidate would be responsible for: Management of Farm Services teams and planning and controlling of Live Bird operations. Managing all labour related issues such as discipline, recruitment, training, time and attendance. Maximize production and ensure that work quality is at required standards. Managing projects and planning of work schedules. Reporting and budget control. Managing Risk Control, Occupational Health and Safety, Bio-Security requirements and Standards as per relevant legislation and Astral Standard Operating Practices. Responsible for company assets. Implementation and maintaining the 20 Keys system. Procurement of bedding material for poultry farms. The successful candidate must meet the following requirements: Matric and a relevant tertiary qualification. A minimum of 5 (five) years' management experience in the agricultural sector and a logistics background will be an added advantage. Technical/Mechanical background advantageous. Must be a team player with exceptional leadership skills with the ability to work in a high pressurized environment and be deadline driven. Ability to manage staff effectively and must be Computer literate. The candidate must have high standards towards housekeeping and attention to detail. Must have a valid driver's license.
