Job Description
Nimojen Group is seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-oriented Finance Manager to lead its finance function and support the organization's financial growth and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting expertise, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in financial management.
Key Responsibilities
Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting processes, financial controls, and reporting systems.
Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments, and other accounting journal entries.
Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
Analyze monthly and quarterly financial performance and present insightful reports to Management and the Board.
Manage the end-to-end external audit process and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.
Monitor working capital and prepare accurate cash flow forecasts.
Oversee payroll, tax compliance, VAT filings, and other statutory obligations.
Identify financial and operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve departmental objectives.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) is mandatory.
Minimum of Six(6) years' relevant post-qualification experience in accounting and finance, with at least two (2) years in a managerial position.
Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting and accounting standards.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modelling, and accounting software/ERP systems.
Proven experience in preparing statutory financial statements.
Demonstrated ability to develop and manage multi-million-naira budgets.
Experience managing annual external audits.
Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
