Role Overview
The General Manager will serve as the chief operating executive responsible for driving the company's strategic vision, overseeing day-to-day business operations, managing key stakeholder relationships, and ensuring profitability and growth across all business lines.
The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of the Nigerian real estate market, strong leadership capability, and a track record of delivering results in a structured yet dynamic business environment.
Responsibilities
Define and execute the company's short, medium, and long-term strategic objectives in alignment with the board's vision.
Identify new business opportunities, emerging markets, and investment prospects within the Nigerian real estate sector.
Drive annual business planning, budgeting, and performance management processes.
Oversee all operational functions including property development, sales and leasing, facility management, and customer service.
Establish and enforce policies, procedures, and quality standards across all departments.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective action to ensure operational targets are met.
Coordinate project timelines, contractor relationships, and delivery milestones for active development projects.
Build and maintain productive relationships with government agencies including AGIS, FCDA, FCTA, and other relevant regulatory bodies.
Facilitate land acquisition, title documentation, regulatory approvals, and compliance processes.
Represent the company in industry associations, forums, and high-level business engagements.
Manage relationships with clients, investors, joint-venture partners, and key contractors.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Estate Management, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
A postgraduate degree (MBA or MSc) in a relevant discipline is strongly preferred.
Professional certifications such as ANIVS, NIS, PMP, or RICS will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 10 years' professional experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management or general management role within the real estate sector.
Demonstrated experience in property development, sales, project management, and/or facility management.
Proven track record of managing government stakeholder relationships and navigating regulatory environments in Abuja or comparable Nigerian cities.
Experience managing multi-functional teams and cross-departmental operations.
