Group Accountant at Helderberg Personnel

Key Responsibilities:


Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reports
Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts
Prepare management reports
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and prepare VAT returns
Conduct internal audits and implement financial controls
Prepare audit files for auditors
Generate ad hoc financial reports as required by management


Skills and Competencies:


Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Pastel or similar)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
High level of integrity and professionalism


Education and Experience Required:


Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional certification (e.g. SAIPA)
5- 6 years of relevant accounting experience
Good Excel skills
