Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Home Appliances (HA) Technician to install, diagnose, repair, and maintain home appliances at service centers and customer locations.
The ideal candidate will ensure timely and high-quality repairs, provide excellent customer service, and adhere to company and manufacturer standards while achieving service performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain home appliances, including refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, microwaves, dishwashers, water dispensers, and other household appliances.
Diagnose electrical, electronic, and mechanical faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance to improve appliance performance and extend product lifespan.
Complete service jobs within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and company quality standards.
Test repaired appliances to verify proper functionality before returning them to customers.
Explain repair findings, maintenance recommendations, and product usage instructions to customers in a professional manner.
Accurately document service reports, repair activities, parts replaced, and customer feedback in the service management system.
Process warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer and company policies.
Coordinate with the Spare Parts team to ensure timely availability of required replacement parts.
Maintain service tools, testing equipment, and workstations in good working condition.
Escalate complex technical issues that require advanced diagnosis or engineering support.
Follow all health, safety, and environmental guidelines during service activities.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the service center and at customer sites.
Participate in technical training programs to stay current with new products, technologies, and repair procedures.
Support product recalls, upgrades, and special service campaigns as assigned.
Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism and protecting the company's brand reputation.
Qualifications & Experience
National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, or a related technical field.
Relevant technical certifications in refrigeration, HVAC, appliance repair, or electrical maintenance are an added advantage.
Minimum of 2years' experience in repairing and servicing home appliances.
Experience working with consumer electronics or home appliance manufacturers or authorized service centers is preferred.
Good understanding of refrigeration systems, electrical circuits, electronic controls, compressors, motors, and appliance diagnostics.
