The HSE Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and workplace standards across PMN Farms operations while promoting a culture of safety, risk awareness, and regulatory compliance.
Description
The role develops, implements, monitors, and continuously improves health, safety, and environmental programs designed to protect employees, visitors, company assets, and the environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct routine safety inspections and audits.
Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures.
Conduct risk assessments for operational activities.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses.
Prepare incident and safety reports.
Conduct employee safety training and awareness programs.
Monitor compliance with environmental regulations.
Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain HSE records and documentation.
Support emergency preparedness and response activities.
Monitor biosecurity, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
Requirements
Degree or HND in HSE, Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health, or related fields.
Minimum 2 years experience in HSE management, safety compliance, or environmental management.
Strong understanding of occupational health and safety principles.
Ability to conduct inspections and audits.
Strong reporting and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and enforce compliance standards. Professional
HSE certifications are an added advantage.
