Role Summary
The Human Resource Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the full spectrum of HR functions within the organization. This role requires a structured, disciplined, and strategic HR professional who can build systems, strengthen internal controls, drive performance management, and align people strategy with business objectives.
The successful candidate will provide operational HR leadership while supporting management in workforce planning, employee engagement, compliance, and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy & Organizational Development
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Conduct HR audits to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
Support leadership with workforce planning and succession planning.
Strengthen HR governance and compliance frameworks.
Recruitment & Talent Management
Lead end-to-end recruitment and selection processes.
Develop structured onboarding and probation management systems.
Implement competency-based hiring frameworks.
Monitor manpower planning and staffing optimization.
Performance Management
Design and implement performance appraisal systems.
Monitor KPI tracking and performance improvement processes.
Support managers in handling underperformance and disciplinary matters.
Drive accountability culture across departments.
Employee Relations & Compliance
Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor laws and regulatory standards.
Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and investigations.
Develop and maintain HR policies and employee handbook.
Promote positive workplace culture and engagement initiatives.
Compensation & Payroll Oversight
Oversee payroll coordination and benefits administration.
Review compensation structure for competitiveness and sustainability.
Monitor leave management and workforce cost control.
HR Systems & Reporting
Implement or optimize HRIS systems.
Maintain accurate HR records and employee data.
Provide monthly HR reports to management.
Track HR metrics and workforce analytics.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or related field.
Professional certification (CIPM - Associate or Chartered preferred).
Minimum of 5 - 7 years HR experience.
At least 3 - 5 years in a supervisory or managerial HR role.
Experience in real estate, construction, or structured corporate environments is an advantage.
