Report To: Head Chef / Kitchen Supervisor

Location: Abuja (Dakwa)

Key Responsibilities:


Prepare ingredients and set up the cooking station before service
Cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
Ensure proper portioning and plating of dishes
Monitor and maintain the quality, taste, and freshness of food
Clean and sanitize workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all time
Assist in inventory control by reporting shortages or spoilage
Coordinate with other cooks and kitchen staff to ensure timely service
Receive and store deliveries correctly
Rotate stock to maintain freshness and reduce waste
Report any equipment malfunctions or kitchen hazards to the supervisor
Support training of junior kitchen staff when require


Qualifications


Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Food Science, or a related field is preferred
2 - 3 years' experience in a professional kitchen or food preparation role is preferred
Knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation standards
Culinary school training or certification is an added advantage
