About the Client:
Our client, a reputable construction and engineering company in Kenya, is seeking to hire a dependable and committed Office Messenger who will provide reliable, efficient and timely messenger, clerical and support services for the company. The role will ensure smooth running of office operations by handling deliveries, maintaining proper documentation flow, and supporting administrative functions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Collect, sort and deliver documents, mail, parcels and other items within and outside the office.
Ensure timely delivery and collection of documents from banks, suppliers, partners and clients.
Support filing, photocopying, scanning and general clerical tasks as assigned.
Assist in maintaining office cleanliness, organization and general office errands.
Run banking errands including depositing cheques, collecting statements and delivering instructions.
Support procurement errands such as collecting quotations, delivering LPOs and picking up office supplies.
Assist administrative staff in routine tasks when required.
Ensure proper documentation and logs for all deliveries and collections.
Maintain confidentiality and observe company protocols when handling documents.
Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma in Business Administration, Office Management or any related field.
Valid KCSE certificate.
At least 2 years of experience as an office messenger or office assistant, preferably in a corporate environment.
Basic knowledge of office procedures and clerical tasks.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to plan routes and deliver items efficiently.
Physically fit and able to manage errands throughout the day.
Familiarity with Nairobi routes is an added advantage.
High levels of honesty, reliability and integrity.
