Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant machinery and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
Inspect equipment regularly to identify wear, faults, or potential failures and take corrective action.
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in plant equipment including generators, compressors, forklifts, pumps, engines, gearboxes, and motors.
Dismantle, repair, and reassemble mechanical components using appropriate tools and techniques.
Replace worn or defective parts and ensure equipment is restored to proper working condition.
Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to resolve mechanical issues and minimize downtime.
Install, align, and commission new machinery and mechanical components.
Support plant upgrades, modifications, and equipment relocation activities.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety procedures and regulatory standards.
Maintain proper use of PPE and uphold a safe working environment at all times.
Report recurring faults and recommend improvements to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
Key Qualifications
Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Plant Maintenance, Industrial Mechanics, or a related field.
A minimum of 2 - 5 years of experience in plant maintenance or an industrial manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
Good understanding of industrial safety standards and maintenance best practices.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work under pressure.
