KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a refrigeration and Air Conditioner technician, you will be responsible for processing and completing work orders, installing new refrigeration systems, troubleshooting mechanical failures, and performing equipment maintenance. You may also be required to advise on equipment upgrades and alternate cooling units.
Processing and completing work orders on appsheet.
Reading and interpreting blueprints and compliance schematics of building and schematics.
Installing climate control systems, refrigeration units, and beverage equipment.
Observing and testing newly installed systems.
Troubleshooting refrigeration equipment failures.
Maintaining stock levels in collaboration with store man
Replacing worn seals, outer shells, and worn-out motors.
Informing Maintenance manager of repair costs and alternate cooling options.
SKILL SET/COMPETENCIES
High school diploma or relevant qualification recognized by the company.
Previous experience as a refrigeration technician.
HVAC certification.
Braising and soldering skills.
Knowledge of local building codes.
Ability to read and interpret refrigeration, building and compliance schematics.
Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills.
Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment.
Ability to work in sub-zero conditions.
Ability to multitask in all aspects of the department.
Perform general housekeeping and ensure all work stations are left clean and tidy.
Should be able to able to maintain good communication and inter-personal relationship with co-
employees and others
