Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary School English Teacher with a strong background in delivering the IGCSE English curriculum.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction, preparing students for external examinations, and fostering excellent communication, literacy, and critical thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities
Teach English Language and Literature to secondary school students using the IGCSE curriculum.
Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
Prepare students for IGCSE examinations and other external assessments.
Assess student performance and provide timely feedback.
Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate academic records.
Participate in curriculum development and departmental activities.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' academic performance.
Participate in extracurricular and school activities as required.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in English, English Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
Teaching qualification (PGDE/TRCN certification is an advantage).
Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching the IGCSE English curriculum.
Strong knowledge of Cambridge Assessment standards.
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience preparing students for outstanding IGCSE examination results.
Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning.
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
