We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to play a key role in our financial operations and strategy in Abuja. This role is pivotal in driving financial performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting executive decision-making through insightful analysis and reporting.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MSc is a strong advantage
Professional Certification: Chartered Accountant (ICAN) required; ACCA or other relevant certifications are a plus
Minimum of 7 years progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Skills: Deep understanding of IFRS, GAAP, and Nigerian tax regulations
Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling expertise
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the company's financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to optimize financial health
Ensure compliance with tax laws, IFRS, and other relevant financial regulations
Lead internal control initiatives and risk management strategies
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of annual budgets, financial statements, management accounts, and statutory reports.
Establish and maintain strong internal controls, financial governance frameworks, and compliance systems.
Coordinate financial due diligence, audits and external financial reviews.
Provide strategic financial insights to senior management for business growth and investment decisions
