Senior Full-Stack Engineer -Software Architecture and AI Native Product Engineering at Viisaus Technology Ltd

Job Summary


We are hiring a senior full-stack engineer who can design and build enterprise-grade software products from concept to production. This role is for someone who is strong in MERN and TypeScript, experienced across modern engineering patterns, and capable of thinking architecturally about product, data, permissions, integrations, security, testing, and maintainability.
This role requires an engineer who can shape systems, translate evolving business requirements into technical direction, and use AI-assisted development workflows with clear human judgment, review discipline, and accountability.
The Engineer will help design, build, test, and evolve enterprise software products across domains such as decision intelligence, AI-enabled systems, workflow platforms, government technology, data platforms, identity-related systems, compliance platforms, and internal enterprise tools.


As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer - Software Architecture and AI-Native Product Engineering, your responsibilities will be:

Product Architecture and System Design


Translate product ideas, client requirements, and business opportunities into scalable technical designs.
Define modules, services, APIs, data models, integration patterns, permissions, workflows, audit structures, and reporting foundations.
Produce technical design documents, C4 diagrams, sequence diagrams, data flow diagrams, API contracts, and architecture decision records where useful.
Evaluate trade-offs across speed, cost, scalability, security, maintainability, reuse, product risk, and delivery risk.
Design systems that can evolve from lean MVPs into enterprise-grade platforms without requiring full reconstruction after the first serious client engagement.
Support product discovery, technical scoping, estimation, solution design, and early risk identification.
Use AI tools for architecture exploration, refactoring plans, test design, documentation, and code review, while rejecting weak generated abstractions or insecure code.


Full-Stack Engineering and Product Delivery


Build enterprise-grade full-stack applications using MongoDB, Express.js or NestJS, React.js, Node.js, and TypeScript.
Design and implement APIs, dashboards, admin portals, workflow modules, reporting features, role-based access, audit trails, notifications, file handling, and integrations.
Work with relational and non-relational databases including MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and related storage technologies where required.
Write and review unit, integration, API, frontend, and end-to-end tests using tools such as Jest, Vitest, Mocha, Supertest, Cypress, Playwright, Postman/Newman, or similar.
Apply disciplined Git workflows, pull request review, and release hygiene as standard practice.
Document technical decisions, assumptions, risks, APIs, deployment notes, and handover requirements clearly enough for other engineers to use.


Responsible Use of AI in Engineering


Use AI coding tools safely while retaining human accountability for architecture, code quality, security, testing, and merged output.
Protect sensitive data, secrets, credentials, client information, and proprietary code and architecture when working with AI tools.
Apply disciplined acceleration: controlled context, documented review, meaningful tests, security awareness, and clear human ownership of final output.


You'd be a good fit if you:

Required Experience


Strong JavaScript and TypeScript experience.
Strong Node.js, Express.js or NestJS, GO, React.js, MongoDB, REST API, authentication, authorization, and role-based access control experience.
Practical experience with database design, API architecture, modular architecture, background processing, caching, integration design, and technical documentation.
Enterprise product experience involving complex users, permissions, workflows, reporting, audit trails, integrations, or regulated operating environments.
Demonstrated ability to review code, mentor other engineers, communicate trade-offs, and lead technical discussions without unnecessary complexity.
AI-Native Engineering Expectations
Candidates should be comfortable using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT/Codex-style workflows, local LLM tooling, or equivalent code review and engineering assistants. Preferred Experience


Experience with public sector, regulatory, fintech, identity, ESG, MRV, geospatial, workflow, decision intelligence, or AI-enabled enterprise platforms.
Experience designing systems for Nigerian or African enterprise environments.
Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, local LLM tools, private AI environments, or AI governance frameworks.
Experience turning rough product ideas into structured technical plans for proposals, demos, and implementation teams.
