Job Summary
The Senior Manager - IT Strategy & Projects directs, coordinates, implements, and executes complex IT programs within the IT Program Management Office, ensuring alignment with the Bank's overarching strategy and goals. Working alongside the Head of IT Governance, Enterprise Architecture and Projects, the role holder consolidates the IT Strategic Plan, provides leadership to project managers, and champions robust project management standards across all business units.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Formulation & Planning: Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to shape strategic direction, coordinate the IT Department roadmap, and consolidate regular progress reports on the IT Strategic Plan.
Program & Project Execution: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of IT programs and projects on time, within scope, and on budget, utilizing standardized project management frameworks to manage scope changes, schedules, and costs.
Resource & Vendor Coordination: Manage internal resources, project allocations, and third-party vendor relationships to ensure flawless execution, comprehensive documentation, and optimal stakeholder engagement.
Risk, Quality & Compliance Management: Coordinate risk mitigation strategies, manage project performance metrics, oversee quality assurance testing, and ensure audit teams are properly engaged throughout project lifecycles.
Team Leadership & Onboarding: Provide leadership to direct reports—including Senior Project Managers and Project Managers—while guiding new staff onboarding and enforcing rigorous operational procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Mandatory certification in IT Program and Project Management frameworks such as MSP, Prince II, PMBOK, or an equivalent recognized standard.
Experience & Technical Competencies
Minimum of 10 years of IT project management experience in a complex, large-scale environment, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or management role within central banking, financial services, government, telecommunications, or regulatory institutions.
Proven track record in IT project portfolio management, strategy formulation, budgeting, and industry-standard delivery approaches (including Agile methodologies).
Exceptional stakeholder management, conflict resolution, negotiation, and people management skills, paired with a solid technical background in project tracking and reporting tools.
