Role Purpose
This role is part of the group Corporate Development team and the main purpose is to support Chief Corporate Development Officer executing group strategic objectives and initiatives including corporate finance, M&A and strategic partnerships, including ad hoc support. The scope will include reporting, planning, analysis and stakeholder coordination across various group pillars.
Assess potential acquisitions, preparing financial models and developing presentation materials for Group Exco review.Prepare group business plans and financial analyses including valuation, pro forma merger scenarios, cash flow and liquidity analyses, returns analysis as needed by departmental initiatives.Attend feedback and negotiation discussions, acting on further requests and developments aligning with departmental objectives.
Prepare presentations to the acquisition's specific attributes, and present findings and developments to senior leadership.Actively follow through the entire M&A process, including market research, target identification, valuation, financial analysis, contract negotiation. Also assist the senior leadership in decision making where necessary
Support Chief Corporate Development Officer with optimizing group debt structures.Take ownership of the information library pertaining to contracts, agreements and statutory documents required by lenders.Create financial and valuation models to illustrate performance, trending, and profitability pertaining to Covenants.Participate in the due diligence process and integrate due diligence key findings into valuable group reports and analysisCollaborate with due diligence teams of potential investors to ensure appropriate acquisition target transactions are completed
Undertake due diligence projects submissions for the group and proposals to potential investors.
Project management of various work streams for the department, including due diligence process and fund raising etc.Take ownership of project plan for each initiative where necessary to ensure project progress and achievements
Requirements
First Degree/ Diploma in Accounting or Finance: Essential
Post Graduate degree / or MBA: Preferable
Professional Qualification - CA/CIMA/CFA:Essential
5 years' Experience in Corporate Finance, Investment Banking or Management Consultany:Essential
5 years Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills: Essential
5 years Experience in Building Financial models and business cases: Essential
5 years' Experience in the process of fund raising and investor engagement: Essential
5 years' Experience in managing data (aggregation, consolidation): Essential
5 years Knowledge of ERP systems (Anaplan; SAGE, MS Dynamics) Desirable
