The Appointee should:
NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate / Grade 12 or equivalent)
Onsetters Certificate.
Blasting Certificate.
At least 2-4 years' experience within the shaft maintenance environment
Medically fit to work in the specific business area
Clear security screening record.
Valid driver's license (if applicable)

Key Responsibilities:
Operational SHE Participate in required SHE meetings, interventions and campaigns. Conducts accidents and incidents investigations and implement necessary measures to avoid re-occurrence. Ensuring compliance to Mine Standards and Procedures. Reporting of all incidents and/or near miss incidents to the relevant parties. Daily conducting of safety meetings. Conduct risk assessments. Conduct planned tasks observations and inspections. Participate in accidents investigations. Ensuring good housekeeping. Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures. Shaft Maintenance Allocating resources and equipment according to priorities. Communicating resource requirements. Communicating operational problems to appropriate supervisor or manager. Inspecting shaft and installations for defects. Ensuring the effectiveness of pipe and equipment installations. Assisting with shaft equipment maintenance.
Administration Plan execution of work orders. Accurately complete documentation and administration as required. Compiling reports for management. Ensuring accuracy of technical data. Stakeholder Relations Maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the organisation. Ensuring open communication channels with all relevant stakeholders. Financial Management Cost Savings: Adhering to cost saving and cash conservation initiatives. Remaining competitive on the global cost curve for surface operations. Building a values-based organisational culture Actively support and meaningfully participate in the execution of the segment specific organisational development plan.
