At least 5 years' experience as an Electrical / Mechanical Artisan and 2 years experience as a Supervisor.
Sound mining industry equipment, health and safety regulations and appropriate legislation knowledge, supervisory /managerial, financial, analysis competencies and be computer literate.
SAP PM and MM experience.
Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
Clear security screening record.
Valid driver's license (if applicable).

Key Responsibilities:
Administrative duties Create and authorize instrument drawings, data sheets, I/O wiring diagrams, P&IDs, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs. Takes responsibility for project controls, cost estimates, quantity take-offs and manpower requirements for proposals, forecasts and change orders. Analyse reports, maps, drawings, tests, and other data to plan and design work. Coordinate day-to-day electrical activities and monitor plant performance. Write daily and weekly reports and investigate operations within area of control. Attend meetings and communicate with teams on a continuous basis. Control and distribute stock within area of responsibility. Check Shift Communication Logbook for any problems reported and special instructions that need to be addressed Determine material allocations based on the BOM Report Engineering information
Equipment maintenance and Optimization Have input in scheduling planned maintenance of equipment Decide on relevant type of maintenance to be performed Oversee maintenance process and providing support and coaching to subordinates Conduct random inspections on tasks performed by subordinates)
Task Analysis Conduct Task Analyses and take appropriate action to address identified risks Plans, executes and supervises all day-to-day processes and maintenance activities within area of responsibility Plans and structures tasks of periods of time.
Risk Assessments Lead risk assessments and take appropriate action Changes and optimises practices and procedures Contribute to the management of risk within own field of expertise Assess Engineering risks and incorporate mitigating controls Maintain and update the Engineering component of the risk register
Stakeholder Relations Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and externally at all levels and crossfunctionally. Ensuring open communication channels with all relevant stakeholders. Sourcing, contracting and negotiating with service providers. Liaising with the necessary entities on any environmental management related requirements and alignment where applicable. Collaborating with external service providers regarding the design and implementation of tools to enhance processes.
Financial Management Managing the finances of the Division to achieve Organisational objectives. Working Cost Budgets: Setting and approving budgeting parameters for the Division in line with business requirements and financial objectives. Approving operational expenditure. Formulating monthly and annual budgets. Report on variances from the budget and the reasons for those variances Cost Savings: Leading and driving cost saving and cash conservation initiatives. Remaining competitive on the global cost curve for surface operations.
